Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
Workspace Training has tailored the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to the specific needs of trainers and assessors in production and manufacturing workplaces. We recognise that the best trainers and assessors are often key machinery operators or section supervisors in a workplace, and not necessarily 'career trainers'.
Because of this, we have developed Plain English course notes to cover the background knowledge required to become a qualified trainer, and a set of assessment activities that allow the participant to draw on their industry skills and on-the-job experience as expert operators. The result is a course that enables participants to develop their own training materials and assessment instruments as they go, and trial them in their own workplace with fellow employees.
Workspace Training is able to deliver the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at the participants' workplace, or through a blended delivery of face-to-face training and self-paced workplace assignments. We can also offer distance learning to participants who are able to provide evidence of their training and assessing skills through video clips or other electronic means.
Where required, the individuals in a group can be given different programs to cover the particular competencies they need. For example, a group may comprise a lead trainer, who will undertake the full qualification, plus several on-the-job trainers who will only complete a 'skill set' from within the qualification. The competencies that make up these different options are set out below.
