Chainsaw training

Fall trees manually (advanced)We offer the full range of nationally recognised chainsaw competencies, including maintenance, cross-cutting, and tree falling at basic, intermediate and advanced levels.

The training and assessment is carried out by our specialist partnering organisation, Chainsaw Accreditation and Safety Training (CAST).

Chainsaw courses are regularly run at CAST's base on the NSW Central Coast, near the Watagan State Forest, and are also delivered throughout NSW at the clients' own worksites and in nearby State Forests.

Ray Stone is the lead trainer, and principal of CAST. Ray has been training tree fallers, harvesting operators and emergency services workers for many years. Ben Sparks works with Ray, and is also well-known throughout the industry as an expert chainsaw operator and trainer.
