Conservation and land management

Tree plantingWorkspace Training has a partnership arrangement with Bushland Management Solutions to deliver the Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management (Natural area resoration and management) (RTD20102).

The course is particularly suited to people working for local councils, national parks, landcare organisations, private landholders and volunteer associations involved in bush regeneration.

Frank Gasparre is the Principal of Bushland Management Solutions, and lead trainer for the course.

Frank is a qualified environmental management consultant and has had many years experience in bushland regeneration and water catchment management.

Features of the course include:

  • workplace-based assessments, and processes that recognise participants' existing skills and experience

  • self-paced learning combined with face-to-face instruction, to make the most of participants' time and minimise time away from work

  • on-site diaries to record activities undertaken as part of the normal day-to-day work.

Below is a typical training program of core and elective units. There are various other electives available, which may be substituted for some of the electives shown here, following negotiation with Frank Gasparre.

SMARTtrain cards are also issued to participants who successfully complete the chemical application and/or chemical safety components of the course.
