Powerline vegetation control
Vegetation control around overhead powerlines is a highly regulated activity. All network operators have strict training requirements for workers engaged in tree trimming around powerlines, and most are now specifying competency accreditations from the Certificate II in ESI (Powerline vegetation control).
We provide training in the full qualification and individual competencies from the Cert II ESI, as well as units from the Certificate II in Horticulture (AHC20410) and Certificate III in Horticulture (AHC30710).
We also offer training in the Close Approach Vegetation Control (CAVC) accreditation. This course has now been approved by the NSW Network Operators, and is made available to experienced HV aerial tree trimmers.
In Victoria, training is delivered by our specialist partner ESI Training and Consulting. Rob McDowell (CEO) is a qualified arborist and has worked in the electrical supply industry for over 30 years.
To organise training or assessment in Victoria, please contact Rob on 0466 441 832 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In all other states and territories throughout Australia, training is delivered by our specialist partner Savco Vegetation Services, under the direction of Ben Sparks (Training Manager). Savco has been involved in vegetation management for 35 years, and provides tree trimming services around overhead powerlines throughout NSW and Queensland.
To organise training or assessment through Savco, please contact Ben on 0417 734 356 or email email@example.com.
