Description

This unit covers the skills required to use a multi-head moulder to run a variety of profiles in either timber or manufactured boards.

What do I need to demonstrate?

Skills you will need to perform for your assessor
 

Set up and operate a multi-head moulding machine to produce:  
  • square dressed timber
  • three different mouldings, with a profile on at least one face and one edge
Other skills you will need to provide evidence for
 

  • Working safely and effectively with others
  • Following instructions from your supervisor
  • Interpreting job sheets
  • Carrying out basic operator maintenance on the machine
