‘Timber flooring’ mobile phone grading rules

Workspace Training has developed an 'experimental' e-learning application that allows a summary of the grading rules for hardwood T&G flooring to be downloaded to a mobile phone. It provides graphics illustrating different defects and characteristics, definitions and methods of measurement, as well as limitations for the three T&G hardwood flooring grades specified in Australian Standard 2796.

The application is in the form of a Java ME MIDIlet, which is bundled together with the grading specifications and graphics. The bundle is downloadable from the web, either direct to a mobile phone, or via a computer and transferred to the phone using Bluetooth, a USB drive, or a removable memory card.
